A Subject to change without prior notice 9 March 2021 Food technique Different clamping pieces/clamp connection components are available for installing the systems: • Clamp bends • Clamp Intermediate pieces • Clamp Cross piece • Clamp Reducing pieces • Clamp Butterfly valves • Clamp Ball valves • Clamp Blind flanges • Clamp Hoze nozzle Clamp pipe connections DIN 32676, flange Ø 34 – 319 The clamp pipe connections proved in Europe and Overseas since many years can be used especially for liquid media for example milk, beer, wine, fruit juices and the like. Preferential fields of application are food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industry as well as the bioengineering, filter and water treatment technology. Clamp connections DIN-Norm 32676 with flange diameters 25 mm as well as 34 to 319 mm are used in plants in which liquid media or fine-grained bulk materials are processed. The mini-flanges are used especially in test systems in research areas and the larger flange diameters from Ø 25 mm are normal in industrial production processes. Typical fields are the food and beverage industry as well as dairies, breweries, wineries or in fruit juice production. The clamp connections are also used in water treatment plants and bulk materials systems in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and in biotechnology. The gasket is inserted into the groove of a clamping ferrule in assembly. DIN, ISO and ASME clamping ferrules are available for this. The second clamping ferrule is placed against it and is therefore coaxially force-centred together with the gasket. The connection is positively locked with the clamping ring. If safety closures are required because of high pressure, protected clamps are available optionally. Different clamping pieces/clamp connection components are available for installing the systems: • Clamp bends • Clamp Intermediate pieces • Clamp Cross piece • Clamp Reducing pieces • Clamp Butterfly valves • Clamp Ball valves • Clamp Blind flanges • Clamp Hoze nozzle Screwed pipe connections DIN 11851 + SMS The screwed pipe connections are used especially with process facilities for liquid media. Preferential fields of application are the food, and beverage industry. Standard DIN 11851 describes a pipe screw connection which is also referred to colloquially as "milk pipe screw connection". The coarse or rounded thread edges make the connection easy to clean so that it has established itself almost as a standard in the food industry. It is used in filling plants, feeding systems or also transport systems with applied pressures up to 40 bar, preferably together with welded fittings according to DIN11852 and pipes according to DIN 11850. Throttle valves, butterfly valves or Y-type valves are required for control. Safety components such as non-return valves or overflow valves are also required. Compensators relieve the load in case of sudden changes in pressure, vibrations or drops in temperature or special threaded hose nozzles are defined for brewery systems: e.g. threaded hose ferrule beer or conical hose ferrule bier. LINNEMANN GmbH supplies various other fittings of stainless steel in accordance with DIN 11851 as well as SMS 1145. • Screw-on ferrules • Blind cones • Blind nuts • Blind ferrules • Screw-in ferrules • Male threaded inside • Conical screw-on ferrules • Conical screw-in ferrules • Sight glasses • Cylinder sight glasses • Threaded hose ferrules • Reversible bends In the assembly of the pipe screw connections which are available in nominal sizes DN 10 to DN 200 or inch dimensions 1“ to 4“, first a D-sealing ring or a D-sealing ring with collar is inserted into the groove of the threaded ferrule and is therefore held their independently. Gaskets are available with FDA conformity certification made of material types NBR, EPDM, VMQ, FKM and PTFE as well as coated PTFE. In the further pipe connection assembly, the conical ferrule is placed against the gasket, the slotted nut is pushed over the conical ferrule and screwed onto the threaded ferrule. The ferrules interlock and are therefore coaxially force-centred so that there is a tight connection.
