Welded fittings in accordance with DIN 11852 are used mainly in the beverages industry but also in the food industry for gaseous, liquid media or bulk materials, for example for assembling pipe connections such as the milk pipe screw connection in accordance with DIN 11851. The beverage pipes have bare metal surfaces but can also be supplied with electroplated surfaces which have a lower Ra surface roughness.
